Laboratory technician at Hallmark Africa

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis
• Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
• Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
• Arranging and storing samples in accordance with safety requirements and manufacturer’s storage advice
• Sterilizing, maintaining and recalibrating lab apparatus.
• Maintaining apparatus records and daily work logs
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances in Oil and Gas

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of HND qualification in Science Laboratory technology, Medical Laboratory science or any related field
• Good eye to hand coordination
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of electronic and computerized equipment in laboratories
• Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of one year working experience
• Good critical thinking skills and good hand-eye coordination.
• Must have to be team players who are able to work as part of a team as well as with people outside their normal work area.
• Must be detail-oriented, focused and follow procedures.

Salary Range: N100000 – N150000
