St. Francis Catholic Secondary School (SFCSS), Idimu, is a Catholic school run by the North-West African Province of the Society of Jesus. It wasfounded in 1990 by a Jesuit priest, Fr. Francis Cusimano, S.J. the first set of students arrived in January 1991. St. Francis Catholic Secondary School runs the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School Programmes as specified in the Nigerian National Policy on Education. It offers a wide variety of academic subjects taught by a dedicated and qualified staff.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Christian Religious Studies Teacher

Location: Council Bus Stop – Idimu, Lagos

Job Description

• Understanding the curriculum and developing schedules, lesson plans, and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content
• Helping the students develop and build interest in the subject as well as gaining mastery of the subject.
• Assigning assignments to students to help improve their knowledge of the subject.
• Understanding the curriculum and developing schedules, lesson plans, and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content
• Managing the classroom and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment
• Grading student performance and providing feedback and guidance.
• Keeping meticulous records of student attendance, participation, homework, test, and examination scores.

Requirements

• B.A. / B.A. Ed / PGDE in Christian Religious Studies or related course
• 2 – 7 years relevant work experience.
• Possess in-depth knowledge ofthe core subject.
• Ability to teach CRS to Secondary School Students up to WAEC O’Level.
• Knowledge of teaching styles recommended
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
