The Leprosy Mission Nigeria (TLMN) is a Christian Health and Development Organization working in partnerstiip with the Federal Ministry of Health and with the State Ministries of Health in 10 states (Akwa lbom, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi Benue, Katsina Nasarawa and the FCT- Abuja) towards the eradication leprosy and the care/restoration of persons and communities affected by leprosy.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Baseline Survey Consultant

Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Full Time

Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and conducting a comprehensive baseline survey for the organization. This includes:

  • Developing a survey instrument that aligns with the organization’s objectives and log frame.
  • Conducting in-person interviews or administering surveys to participants.
  • Collecting and analysing data from the survey.
  • Preparing a comprehensive report of the survey findings and recommendations.

Deliverables

  • A survey instrument that is aligned with the organization’s objectives and log frame.
  • A list of participants recruited for the survey.
  • A comprehensive report of the survey findings, including analysis of data collected, summary of key findings, and recommendations for the organization.
  • Timeline: 4 Weeks
  • The consultancy is expected to start on March 27th 2023 and ends on April 24th 2023.

Qualifications
The consultant should have the following qualifications:

  • A Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Public Health.
  • At least 5 years of experience in conducting baseline surveys or similar research projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative research studies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in Nigeria and knowledge of local languages in the selected states is an added advantage.

Evaluation Criteria
The following criteria will be used to evaluate proposals submitted by interested consultants:

  • Experience and qualifications of the consultant.
  • Proposed methodology and approach.
  • Quality of the proposed survey instrument.
  • Value for money.
